connection established.

I make video games, game engines and more. I've been doing that plus everything involved and related to it for over 25 years. I grew up without the internet.

First contact

Starting early, I stumbled into and learned my way around an IBM XT in DOS. I found a way into making tools and an engine to make games with, starting in mode 13h. Standing on the shoulders of the demoscene I learned whatever I could about rendering, and found the empowerment of tools to be alluring. I made hundreds of small games over these years.

I also wrote many stories, and created many worlds.

The art of it all

Having done art + drawing since very young, I grew tired of my games looking bad, and spent a bunch of time focusing on the art side, digital and analog, learning the tools I had access to. I found the first release of blender on a PC magazine disk, and got a copy of Paint Shop Pro from a bargain bin.

This led to graphic design in logos, web design, and even skinning applications like Windows, winamp and more. It also led to 3D modelling, lighting and rendering.

Music and magic

Games gain a lot from music and sound, and much like with art, I had been doing it (analog style) since early too. I took the time to learn the digital audio side, and spent a bunch of time in bands, in sound engineering booths, and running the audio for countless events.

The next part

Combining all of the things I love is why I'm stuck with games.

I worked for myself as much as I could as long as I could whenever I could, but when I wasn't doing that I got to work with friends and studios on various projects.

After several years moving to a new country, and working on other projects, I finally got the opportunity to work on my own games and engine full time again.

And now...

I am very fortunate to have started our game studio with my partner, working with amazing people, making what we wanna make using our own game engine to do it. Couldn't ask for much more!

I am insatiably curious
and will always be learning.
